Quantity Surveyor Due to a substantial growth over the last 6 months, MMOC Special Projects Division are hiring again. Looking for a quantity surveyor for the residential sector which will involve costing and managing jobs such as new builds and refurbishments. Office based and on-site work only (no remote working), the right candidate must have good understanding of the industry, hands on experience, subcontractor base and positive mindset. The successful candidate will work under our quantity surveyor and receive on the job support and training. Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Position Overview 1. Review incoming tenders, specifications and contract documentation to analyse project risk 2. Manage tender submission schedule 3. Attend pre-tender site visits, and undertake site surveys 4. Obtain competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors 5. Produce quotations/tenders 6. Prepare and deliver detailed, qualified, well presented tender submissions 7. Negotiate with clients to secure contracts 8. Strong communication skills to deal with subcontractors and Bank’s monitoring surveyors 9. Attend pre-contract client meetings, as required 10. Manage subcontractor packages & produce a programme of works based on the quote 11. Produce valuations, variations and final accounts Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements 1. Industry relevant qualification 2. Previous experience of Quantity Surveying within the construction industry is required 3. Knowledge of materials / construction methods 4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 5. Excellent IT skills 6. Proven record of working effectively with suppliers, clients and funders Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration to be discussed depending on experience and attributes.
