Job Title: Commercial Accountant

Location: This is an agile role where you will be based out of our Manchester office with home working available as well

Business Area: Kier Utilities

Contract: Permanent- Full time or we are able to consider part time hours- please specify on your application form what hours / days you are ideally looking for

Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a Commercial Accountant, who will report to the Regional Finance Business Partner. You will be responsible for the provision and interpretation of financial management information to support and inform the local management team in the day-to-day management of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including contract performance, productivity analysis and cost base, as well as control the balance sheet reconciliation process and cash reporting
  • Partnering the Operational and Commercial teams in understanding & developing financial reporting, along with the preparation of short to medium term forecasts
  • Lead the role in developing Project assurance, ensure robust control of CVR's, balance sheet and working capital management
What do we need from you?

  • Hold professional qualification or final stage part qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience of operating in an infrastructure services environment with project accounting experience, as well as experience operating in a complex multi-disciplined business
  • Excellent commercial awareness and data analytics skills
