We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.

We are now recruiting for a Planner to join our Kier Infrastructure Major Projects team to plan and programme our small to medium size tenders for Civil and Rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

This exciting Planner role will offer an individual the opportunity to develop construction strategy's, logistic strategy's and review all tender documentation, identifying key data and sharing this information with the tender team. You will provide fully resourced programmes, understand the effect on programme schedules and communicate this to the project team. Producing project specific documentation to describe the programme and planned methods of works for submission and assisting the tender team in the production of submission documents. As a Tender Planner you will have the prospect of attending client and 3rd party presentations and meetings, presenting programme and methodology where appropriate.

What do we need from you?

A focused individual that delivers results to prescribed deadlines and can effectively communicate with the team to keep them informed. You'll need previous experience operating within the Civil and Rail sectors, design and constructing projects and Oracle Primavera P6 will be an advantage. We need you to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, make clear, realistic commitments and confidently present these to management. Have the ability to constructively challenge to ensure excellence in all bid materials and engage with the tender to deliver agreed outputs.
