Job Title: Senior/Principal Estimator

Location: This is an agile role within our Midlands region, where we have offices based in Solihull and Rushden. Home working is also available with some travel to other offices and sites
Business area: Kier Construction - Eastern and Midlands
Contract: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week.

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our passionate team in the?Solihull?office. With our diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for a candidate who has passion, enthusiasm & an outgoing nature for the project, whilst being able to work for & assist the bid leader in a healthy & innovative team environment. You will be working on a varied portfolio of projects including education, MOJ, MOD, commercial, leisure & healthcare in the value of £15m - £75m. Procurement will be predominantly within frameworks & 2 stage; with some single stage.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be focused of preparing and winning the larger and more complex tenders for the business. This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy. You will need to undertake the production of tender documents, take the lead commercially, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews with both internal management and clients.

The ability to produce cost plans would be an advantage as would an ability to work with and mentor up and coming junior staff.
