Our North London Division located in Ruislip, Middlesex is looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join the Division’s Finance team. The Role Reporting to the Divisional Accountant, the role of Senior Accounts Assistant, will maintain the business's accounting records which will include, purchase ledger duties, collating data for weekly payroll, processing expense claims and ad hoc tasks relating to the planned migration to new software, COINS. The Senior Accounts Assistant will manage a team of 3 Accounts Assistants. Principle accountabilities of the Senior Accounts Assistants role include: Oversee Purchase Ledger and POP / Duplicate Payments Carry out BACS payment runs Oversee Statement Reconciliations Oversee Customer Care invoices - CIS Manage new supplier setups, including IR35 working Raising Sales Invoices Management of Completions - Extras, Ground Rents and Building Insurance Varied Tasks such as Carbon Reporting, Ground Rent and Building Insurance queries, Analysis - P&L, Cashflow, Bank Reconciliations Processing of weekly payroll Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working with accountancy software. Working knowledge of COINS is desirable but not essential. Experience of working within a similar role will be preferred. Qualifications and Training GCSE Maths and English – Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) A-Level Maths is desirable Skills and Aptitude Good interpersonal skills. Excellent organisation and administration skills, including good attention to detail Ability to work on own as well as part of a team Be proactive on resolving issues/problems Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
