Kier Places are recruiting for a Document Controller to join our passionate Capital Projects Team in London. With our diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for an individual who has a passion for the project at hand whilst also being able to work as part of a closely knit team which has an opportunity to develop and control its own destiny. We understand this approach is essential to ensure we consistently win work and secure repeat business.
You will be working on a portfolio of projects predominantly in the occupied building arena, including residential, commercial, public sectors, ranging from fire safety improvements to large internal and external refurbishment projects and construction works, with values in the range of £1m - £7.5m. Successful applicants will have a huge opportunity to grow and develop as this new workstream evolves.
Key Responsibilities
As a Document Controller within our Preconstruction Team, you will be responsible for the management flow of information between various stakeholders to a project (both internal and external).
Key responsibilities will include downloading and publishing documents in accordance with project procedures, ensuring drawings and documentation are filed in the correct manner, assisting the team with internal document reviews and providing weekly reports on the status of all documentation.?
The ideal candidate is expected to become an integral part of the team delivering real value to all stakeholders. In addition, the role will encompass general support and administration for the team.
What do we need from you?
This is your opportunity for the taking, if you have - Document Controller experience within the Construction industry (cladding projects would be a bonus); experience with EDMS such as ViewPoint or 4Projects; experience with Snagmaster, Smart Waste, Oracle, and/or Airsweb, or similar systems. As with the nature of the construction projects, you'll need to be highly organised, be able to manage your own performance, maintain & create relationships with all levels of stakeholders, and work well to timelines & deadlines.
