Daniel Owen Leeds are now recruiting for a permanent Passive Fire Designer based out of our clients office in Leeds.

As a Passive Fire Designer you will be part of the Design team and will support the Design and Sales teams by producing accurate and compliant quotations for our clients. This role will require a proven background producing professional designs for Passive Fire and Fire Stopping projects.

The successful candidates role will include:

  • Producing complaint design and quotations to clients in a timely manner.
  • Producing accurate quotations for commercial clients.
  • Confidence in designing Passive Fire and Fire Stopping solutions
  • Ability to carry out site surveys.
  • Ability to read site drawings accurately
  • Keeping up to date with knowledge of Passive Fire and Fire Stopping legislation
  • Preparation of bills of materials and quotations from client specifications
  • Ability to interpret client's requirements and understand building layouts and schematics.
  • Ensuring designs fully comply with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Working to defined quotas, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Building successful working relationships with clients and the design & installation team.

Required:

  • Proven background and experience of Passive Fire and Fire Stopping design
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Good IT skills and a familiarity with Microsoft software.
  • Excellent communication skills including face to face meetings and telephone communications.
  • The ability to work alone and effectively organise your time as well as being a good team player.
  • A good understanding of the Standards which relate to our Industry.
  • Excellent timekeeping and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and a team player, demonstrating professionalism, positivity and proactiveness.
  • Ideally have experience using CAD software.
