Land & Development Manager Job - Central England - Home Based

A new Land & Development Manager job opportunity with the residential development division of one of the UK's largest development and regeneration businesses.

As a Land & Development Manager for residential developments across Central England you will report to the Regional Head of Developments and will focus on land acquisition throughout the Central England region.

Role & Responsibilities

Identification and acquisition of sites to support an expanding development programme
Negotiating terms for the acquisition of land or property and managing the purchase process
Taking an active role in the planning process and working with stakeholders including local authorities to agree S106 and public consultation activities
Support in the delivery of a programme of development schemes including; major projects, partnership deals and land-led opportunities
Responsible for the whole life cycle of sourcing land opportunities through to pre-construction and the start of on-site construction

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in identifying and acquiring land for residential developments in Central England
An established network of contacts within the region
Ideally, you will have experience of all housing types
You will be highly numerate and at ease analysing and making changes to complex financial models/appraisals and negotiating land deals
This role is home-based covering Central England as a region. You will from time to time be required to attend meetings in Derby, so the ability to commute to Derby and within the region is essential.

In addition, it would be highly advantageous if you have pre-existing relationships within Central England and be able to call upon these to help identify development opportunities or when working through complex planning with local authorities.
