Distribution Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Distribution Coordinator to co-ordinate Asphalt and Aggregates deliveries in a busy market.

You will be based at DurhamGate Office,

The key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Working as part of the local team, taking orders from customers both internal and external.
  • Building strong relationships with plant staff, haulage partners, customers, and other team members.
  • Proactive planning and tracking orders to completion.
  • Cost effective dispatch planning of all customer orders through active liaison with commercial, operations and transport teams

The key skills required for this role are:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to a high level of accuracy
  • Good geographical knowledge of the region and road networks
  • Be calm and adaptable in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to problem solve.

We are looking for a professional, experienced Distribution Coordinator who can demonstrate knowledge of road haulage. You will be an excellent communicator and be a proactive self-starter who can build effective relationships both with colleagues and customers.

Previous experience working in Asphalt and Aggregate markets is desirable though not essential as training will be given. A good familiarity of the local geography is desirable.
