Kier Places are recruiting now for a SHE Advisor to aid us in ensuring that the company has the highest possible standards of safety, occupational health and environmental responsibility, and that these are properly and effectively implemented across the business & contracts you will cover.
SHE Advisor / HSE Advisor
Location: Covering London & South East sites - home working available with site & office visits throughout the week
Business Area: Kier Places - Housing Maintenance, Facilities Management & Capital Projects
Contract: Permanent, full time, 40 hours Monday to Friday - agile daily start/end times considered

Kier Places provide essential property services to local authorities, schools, the NHS, housing associations & public sector buildings - we are recruiting now for a passionate & experienced SHE Advisor, to support the ongoing evolution & growth of Kier Places, and be critical to achieving success in delivering our contracts, projects & works within the Facilities Management & Housing Maintenance sector, with a national reach & local passion.
Key Responsibilities
As a HSE Advisor / SHE Advisor, your duties will be carried out in a manner wholly consistent with Kier's SHE policies and procedures. You will make sure that the Group is compliant with all SHE(A) statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, and contract specific requirements, as well as reporting on SHE(A) performance to the Executive Management Team and the Board.
As a critical part of Kier, you will define SHE(A) strategy and policy and manage the reporting, reviewing of all SHE(A) accidents and incidents, also guaranteeing that Kier is represented in the formulation of future SHE legislation. You will also be trusted to anticipate and have awareness of future SHE legislation changes in order to make plans to adapt to new legislation in a controlled, timely manner.
What do we need from you?
To be a SHE Advisor with Kier Places, you should be NEBOSH qualified or equivalent (or demonstrable IPD / CPD equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety with experience of working in a SHE environment, in the Facilities Management, Housing Maintenance and/or Construction industry. If you also have Tech IOSH / Graduate IOSH, IOSH Managing Safely and have Auditor IS001/9001/14001 then this could be the perfect role for you.
Due to the nature of this role, you should have a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable with frequent travel in the region.
