Position: Qualified Accountant

Location: Dublin 11

Salary: Neg DOE

The Job: This role is a full-time permanent position reporting to the COO and will be based at our head office/warehouse in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial accounts
  • Maintaining live management accounts for individual projects via our Evolution Mx back-office system- Training will be provided on the system
  • Prepare budgets for business units and individual projects with the relevant line management
  • Preparing Vat Returns and filing with Revenue
  • Maintaining, processing, and returning Relevant Contract Taxes to Revenue
  • Monitoring costs with a focus on overheads
  • Complete bank reconciliations and prepare cash forecasts and projections where required
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Supporting senior management with any ad-hoc finance related queries

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and self- starter with a proven track record in meeting deadlines and managing projects
  • Prior experience working in a Finance Team and part of the month end close process
  • Experience in the construction or engineering industry would be an advantage: We will consider applicants who have had exposure to this industry during their accountancy training.
  • Strong PC skills with a high competency in the Microsoft suite of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail taking pride in the quality and presentation of work
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
