Premises Officer
Location: Bournemouth Library
Business Area: Kier Places - Facilities Management
Contract: Permanent, full time, 5 days Monday to Saturday, 40 hours per week, with a day off during the week to be agreed.
Salary: £25,396 + benefits
Kier Places are recruiting now for a Premises Officer to maintain the upkeep of the Library in Bournemouth to ensure a safe environment at all times. The role will plan, coordinate, and Administer the day-to-day activities of the site. Including organisation of all visitors, Subcontractor and Caretaker work requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities as a Premises Officer will include coordinating of all Subcontractors, Visitors and delivering any Caretaker works where required such as fixing loose carpeting, hanging and re-fixing items to walls, patching paintwork, toilet seat re-fixing and replacements, re-fixing door handles, replace slats in blinds, shower fixings and rails. Work will be both planned and reactive maintenance, and you will also be responsible for maintaining Health & Safety compliance and contractual requirements. The Premises Officer will also supervise and mange staff to fulfil requirements of late-night library activities or events on this Kier PFI Bournemouth contract.
What do we need from you?
Previous experience working in Facilities Management or a Caretaker role is essential with the ability to deal with customers, suppliers, colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner. Prioritising and planning workloads to achieve objectives as well as working on own initiative and as part of a team is key. IOSH Managing Safely or Supervisor is desirable but not essential.
