Location: Flexible working available, where you will be based out of our Loughton office with home working available and frequent travel to other offices and sites across the UK 2-3 days a week

Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 basic + company van & outstanding rewards and benefits package
Kier Places are recruiting now for a NICIEC Electrical Qualifying Supervisor for our Housing Maintenance division, to cover all contracts Nationally, ideally located near London & the Home Counties. Reporting to the Electrical Compliance Manager, as a valued member of the Technical Excellence Team, the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor will be responsible for conducting audits, monitoring persons conducting electrical work, and assisting in achieving compliance across Kier Housing Maintenance contracts throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor with Kier Housing Maintenance, we'll look to you to take responsibility for auditing and collating accurate data, producing high quality documentation primarily for legislative, contractual, and 'Good Industry Practice', in order to achieve compliance with contractual quality requirements.
Working collaboratively with all levels of stakeholders, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day safety, technical standard and quality of the Electrical Work carried out under your supervision, including monitoring of all persons undertaking electrical work, their suitability, qualifications, training, & Professional Development requirements, and ensure that results of inspection and testing are properly recorded.
As a trusted Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, you should be conversant with the relevant regulations, guidance, British Standards, and other Industry Codes of Practice; accommodate assessments from the NICEIC; and you may be required to help out on the Facilities Management contracts when required.
What do we need from you?
Have you got what it takes to join Kier today? The ideal NICEIC Electrical Qualifying Supervisor will hold a Level 3 Electrical qualification (Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds 2360, 2330, 2357, or equivalent); hold 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:20180) certificate, Initial Verification of Electrical Installations (Level 3 C&G 2391-50 or equivalent) certificate; Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certifications of Electrical Installations (i.e Level 3 C&G 2391-51 or equivalent) certificate; and have strong previous experience with responsibility for the technical standard of electrical work.
Ideally, you'll have had experience as a Qualifying Supervisor, or have had experience as a Lead/Head; and as part of your employment with Kier, you will have to be NICEIC assessed.
Naturally, you'll be well versed in domestic electrical systems with a good understanding of commercial systems; have solid IT skills in order to produce high quality documentation & data; have solid Heath and Safety at Work knowledge; have a full driving licence.
Due to the nature of this position, you will need to hold a full driving licence, and have the ability to travel nationally, as we have contracts as in every region of England & some in Wales.
