The job
This is a PERMANENT ROLE, 30hrs per week, 37 weeks per year (term time only plus one week training).
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring individual to join our team in the FLEX department. The primary function of this role is to ensure that learners with High Needs and SEND whom are studying on the Pre & Supported Internship Programmes are supported whilst out on placement with an employer.
They will support within the vocational studies programme area to ensure our learners receive an outstanding Quality of Education and develop their employability skills to become employable. You will also support employers to enable them to offer a meaningful internship and recruit interns where possible.
The person & qualifications
Experience in supporting young people/vulnerable adults who have additional needs - anyone that has worked with emotional/behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Have experience/the ability to plan, prepare & implement support programmes/assessments as and when required.
Have an understanding around Safeguarding referrals.
Hold a C or Level 2 in English or Math (or be working towards this).
Be willing to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification.
Be willing to travel to other sites if required.
A DBS Certificate that is on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
