Dalata Hotel Group, Irelands largest hotel company and one of the UK’s fastest growing hotel companies has committed to an exciting development pipeline of new hotels in Dublin a the UK. In total the company has secured a pipeline of nearly 3,000 bedrooms and 11 new hotels. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Dalata Development Team and will be centrally involved in the management of these projects and the delivery of the new hotels to the Dalata operations team. The role is to act as a Project Manager – Hotel Construction in the team reporting to the Head of Construction & Capital Expenditure, ensuring delivery of high-quality Dalata hotels in accordance with the appropriate regulatory requirements, as per the contracted specifications, within the budget and by the agreed completion date. A full job description is attached to this advertisement ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Management of Direct Design & Build Contract Projects Monitoring of Design and Build Contracts Role in Acquisition Strategy General responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS Degree/ Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent 5+ years post-qualification experience with one or more of the following or equivalent. Clientside project manager consultancy Technical manager of construction contracts Construction manager with developer Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with an appetite to understand/critique business strategy. An ability to deliver on demanding time and quality targets. Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with strong project management skills demonstrated on medium or large-scale development projects A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills and can manage the various relationships that exist within the extended external development team Strong level of initiative in finding ways to resolve problems as they arise in projects. Willing to travel and hold an appropriate Driving Licence.
