Location: Home based, with 1-2 days travel per week - flexible working available, with some travel to other Sleaford & Sheffield offices, and sites across Lincolnshire & Cambridgeshire

Kier Places are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Housing Maintenance division, to uphold and maintain the commercial wellbeing of the contract, to reduce cost, increase value, drive revenue/profits and mitigate against risk in a safe and ethical manner, and to become a key member of the Reactive Repairs & Maintenance team, working with our prestigious clients, North Kesteven District Council & Muir Housing.


Key Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, we will look to you to develop and manage all commercial aspects of projects including budgets and forecasts to ensure the governance and profitability of allocated contracts; develop, manage and extend commercial relationships with both new and existing clients and supply chain; maximise profitability of all allocated contracts and work packages; and provide accurate commercial reporting to allow effective management of your projects.

The type of work this contract covers relates to occupied & void properties, and are responsive repair focused, such as roofing & plumbing repairs, and refurbishment of void properties.


What do we need from you?

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have strong experience with Housing Maintenance contracts relating to Decent Homes and Social Housing - responsive repairs works exposure would be desirable; good demonstrable SOR & VCR/CVR knowledge; relevant academic qualifications & Chartered membership.

Joining this fast paced, growing & expanding department, we need you to be a team player, to promote, follow and influence good project governance through the implementation of Kier policies and procedures.
