Health & Safety Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health & Safety Department at one of Britain's most iconic estates. Blenheim is a hugely diverse business, a world-class visitor attraction with a variety of cultural and sporting events, a wedding and banqueting venue, a unique filming location and producer of natural mineral water, a major property owner and investor, a construction business, and a charitable foundation.
The Health & Safety Coordinator will be part of the Health & Safety team and support the Head of Health & Safety to embed our Health & Safety strategy and policies across the business with a focus on compliance. The role will provide hands on administrative support and will help shape and embed Blenheim's Health & Safety processes and practices.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Providing support to the Head of Health & Safety
- Supporting Managers to organise and record all re-occurring schedules of maintenance for vehicles, machinery and equipment, compliance checks, servicing, etc.
- Supporting Managers to ensure training records and toolbox talks are up to date
- Supporting Managers to develop efficient processes to ensure up to date and accurate storage of information
- Manage relationships with external providers and contractors
- Provide reports and data to key stakeholders from the systems in place
- Update records and policy
- Identify and analyse Health & Safety needs for different areas of the business
- Review current Learning & Development and Health & Safety systems to provide continuous improvement on processes
- Log and issue all training certificates
- Conduct regular audits relating to Health & Safety training and compliance and provide reports on findings
- Liaise with the Health & Safety team to ensure all training is up to date and in line with legislation
- Review job roles in relation to training required to be legally compliant
- Collate training feedback
- Train users on our systems and ensure they are utilising and recording correctly
What we are looking for:
- Excellent administration skills, with experience in delivering a variety of administration services
- Great planning and organisational skills, to manage multiple projects and areas of responsibility to deadlines, prioritising work in line with business needs
- Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A friendly and approachable manner, excellent communication skills
- A credible self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- The ability to facilitate problem solving/resolution techniques
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions
- Committed to upholding professional standards
- Technically-minded, and enjoyment of learning new technology and systems
- Customer-focused attitude
- Previous Health & Safety experience is desirable

This is a full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm).
