Role overview
Breedon is a leading construction materials group operating in over 350 locations across Great Britain and Ireland. We produce essential materials that make a fundamental difference to the lives of people everywhere, every day.
We operate quarries, readymix concrete plants and asphalt plants across the North of England and run a fleet of concrete mixers and tippers.
Our Regional Office in DurhamGate -Spennymoor, manages order taking, distribution and sales orders for the plants.
We are seeking a Commercial Trainee to join our team, the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Taking customer orders and allocating to the relevant plant
- Liaison with Logistics department and drivers
- Administration for our Logistics department, including processing haulier claims
- Progressing into pricing small enquiries
Key skills for the successful candidate:
- A customer focused approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn new skills and build strong working relationships
- Ability to problem solve and use initiative
- Good knowledge of the North East of England area would be an advantage.
A driving licence while not essential would open up opportunities to progress into other departments in the business such as Operations or Laboratory.
