Customer Care Technician Job in the North East

I have a Customer Care Technician Job with a UK Top 10 House Builder based in the North East area covering multiple developments. My client is looking for an experienced Customer Care Technician preferably with a joinery background to join their well-established customer care team. The role offers a basic of up to £35,000 + company van + 25 days holiday

Our client provides homes of all tenures and is the largest delivery partner of Homes England. They employ over 1000 people across 11 offices nationwide and still expanding. As a Customer Care Technician, you will have a hands-on approach to ensure all new homes defects and maintenance works are being rectified accordingly after legal completion. You must work effectively with your team so that full customer satisfaction is achieved. You will be reporting to the Customer Care Manager.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Visit clients as required
  • Ensure the company vehicle is stocked with all necessary building equipment
  • Make sure any additional materials are ordered through approved suppliers
  • Check that any additional work that has arisen during the week is scheduled into your calendar
  • Arrive on time to customers houses
  • Establish a good working relationship with customers and maintain a positive attitude
  • Carry out required work in a clean, safe and professional manner
  • Attend site to supervise sub-contractors
  • When additional works are requested by the customer assess whether they should be undertaken or sub-contractors are needed
  • If works cannot be completed notify the customer care co-ordinator immediately
  • Maintain a flexible working approach
  • Keep tools maintained correctly and PAT testing is carried out as necessary
  • High level personal presentation is maintained wearing the company uniform and identification card
  • Discuss customer complaints with the customer care co-ordinator and arrange appointments accordingly

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with joinery work preferred
  • Up to date knowledge of the NHBC standards
  • Knowledge of LABC regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have great organisation skills and know when to prioritize
  • Flexible and agile to your approach
  • A team player who is self motivated to get things done
  • Able to work confidently by yourself
  • Be able to build relationships with customers and the team you work in
