This role is predominantly working from home, however, due to the nature of the role there will be occasions when there's a requirement to be in the Hull offices based

Gleeson Recruitment Group currently recruiting for a Payroll and HR officer to join a business based in Hull. We are looking for a super star individual who has a strong background in payroll! Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience within payroll and will have worked in a large company operating a payroll of 1,000 employees.

Our client is a friendly, down to earth client with a little bit of a creative edge! This is a brilliant opportunity to work with brilliant people! This role will be a stand alone Payroll and HR officer role. It is essential that the successful individual is great with numbers and dealing with sensitive information.

The role will be 70% payroll and when required you will need to support the wider HR team.

The Role

  • Gather information on hours works for all employees
  • Running the UK monthly payroll (700 employees)
  • Coordinate annual UK merit award processes and payments
  • Onboard new employees using the HR system
  • Assist with payroll and HR projects

Ideal Person

  • 5 years experience within a payroll position
  • Strong understanding of accounting and payroll best practices
  • Familiar with bureau payroll services and HRIS
  • Good knowledge of HR processes
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive individual
