New Workplace Strategy Director job available with an award-winning architecture and design firm in Manhattan, New York! This is a rare opportunity to join an established practice at director level, taking the lead on workplace strategy and bridging the gap between strategic thinking and feasible design. Package includes a salary of up to $150,000 + Medical, Dental & Vision + 401K + Profit Share + PTO & Sick.

Specialising in corporate interiors this practice has a long-standing history of working with prestigious clients across the globe in both the workplace and retail sector. The team of almost 200 work from two offices in New York, covering all stages of architecture and design. The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven background in client-facing or client-side workplace strategy with approximately 10+ years industry experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead project teams and the implementation of projects, translating strategic thinking into feasible designs with the wider design teams
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, research, focus groups, workshops, and interviews
  • Analyse different workplace environments and objectives, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Report findings and results to the wider design team, to develop design strategies
  • Keep up to date with industry trends
  • Established new relationships and build upon existing client relationships
  • Assist with the development of thought leadership pieces and participate in industry/company events
  • Provide team mentoring and leadership
  • Work collaboratively with the senior management team on relevant topics

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years' industry experience with the majority in workplace consultancy/strategy
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field - interior design, architecture, or business
  • Team and project management experience
  • Strong analytical and analysis skills
  • Business development and client-facing experience
