Associate Director (Commercial Building Surveying) job in Leeds
Associate Director job based in Leeds for a commercial property consultancy. This is a great opportunity for an Associate Director with commercial property experience to join a growing team with an already established client base in The North West and further afield across the UK. Reporting to the Head of Building Consultancy, the role offers a competitive basic of up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus Flexible / Remote Working.
The commercial property specialists serve the Greater London region and The North West, this role will be joining their Building Consultancy and Project Management team managing their existing commercial client base and developing new business opportunities. They offer property management, building consultancy and project management services to a wide remit of commercial clients.
Role & Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Head of Building Consultancy as an Associate Director within the team, you will be responsible for the setup, implementation and day to day management of instructions for external and internal clients
- Assist the head of department with planning and strategy including identifying potential new service lines, training requirements and client targets
- Take responsibility for the management of clients and deliver high quality and timely building surveying services
- Ensure consistent, high quality service delivery across all areas for the Clients
- Support and maintain existing relationships with clients and contacts within the wider Group
- Identify and developing new client relationships
- Leading instructions and assisting with delivery of portfolio instructions
- Identify and action Building Consultancy opportunities
- Actively contribute to business growth and profitability with set department and wider business targets
- Assist with delivering the agreed service, strategy, business plan and Quality Assurance document for the department
- Continually drive change and progress in the business to evolve with Client and market demands
- Manage and supervise any employees as and when necessary
- Assist with and attend pitches
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ Years' experience within commercial building surveying
- MRICS
- Experienced in Building Surveys for Investment or occupational purposes
- Business Development / client presentation skills
- Experienced in mentoring junior members within the team
- Experienced in specifications and schedules of work
- Knowledge of Standard Contract forms and Contract Administration
- Sound technical building advice
- Experienced in Schedule of Dilapidations
- Experienced in preventative Maintenance inspections and reporting
- Ideally experienced in post contract project Management
