Exception Handler - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Basingstoke - office based
Business Area: Kier Places - Commercial & Finance team
Contract & hours: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Kier Places are recruiting now for an Exception Handler to join our Commercial & Finance team in Basingstoke, where your role will be instrumental in ensuring invoices are managed and system queries are resolved effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As an Exception Handler with Kier Places, the main aim of your role will be to efficiently resolve queries, deal with complex invoices & purchase orders on an end-to-end basis, ensuring corrective action is in line with processes & policies, through liaising with procurement, contract, project, quotes, billing & commercial teams, and suppliers.
You will be responsible for obtaining Goods Received Notes (GRNs) & chasing returns as necessary; matching orders to invoices; notifying the procurement & site teams of deliveries with purchase order issues; processing engineers' receipts; analysing reports to identify common reoccurring issues; and promoting accurate record keeping discipline.
What do we need from you?
To be an Exception Handler with Kier, you should have a background with numerical/financial-related duties with strong organisational skills to deal with a volume-related workload; an excellent verbal & written communication ability to deal with all levels of stakeholders; a good standard of Microsoft Office literacy - it would be advantageous if you have working knowledge of construction and different types of materials, and COINS / Oracle eBS experience.
