Assistant Project Manager Job in Sevenoaks

Assistant Project Manager / Employers Agent job based in Sevenoaks, joining a growing multidisciplinary consultancy. Working on new build and regeneration projects in South London, Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire. Offering a salary of up to £35k + Bonus + Travel + Excellent progression opportunities and support with professional accreditations. You will be joining a rapidly growing consultancy with long-standing public and private sector clients in the residential construction sector.

The consultancy offers a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specialise in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London, Southeast and Midlands.

Role & Responsibilities

- Liaise closely with Clients, Contractors, Developers, Clerk of Works and other key stakeholders

- Advise clients on matters arising on schemes

- Taking minutes in meetings and understanding the context of discussion points

- Understand key deliverables to ensure the Client receives correct information

- Pre and post-contract procedures and admin

- Assist with discussions with Contractors, Developers, Clients and Stakeholders

- Take Pre-Contract Minutes

- Develop and understand the brief along with your Team Leader to assist scheme delivery

- Preparation of Notices, Certificates and Payments

- Carry out key reviews to identify scheme compliance vs key criteria

- Cost Benchmarking

- Assist with the tender processes and procurement of key consultants

- Carry out interim site inspections, snagging and de-snagging inspections, handover inspections and end of defect inspections

- Developing Client relationships with Project Managers

- Assist with Final Accounts/Statements

Required Skills & Experience

- 1+ years' experience as a Project Manager, Building Surveyor or Employers Agent

- Construction project management experience

- Experienced in working for a consultancy, although main contractor project management experience may also be considered

- RICS Accredited Degree

- Working towards MRICS or MCIOB

- UK Driving Licence and own car
