Town Planner Job in Cheshire
My client who are one of the UK's largest privately owned national house builders have a Town Planner job available in their office just outside of Stockport.
As the successful Senior Planner/Designer you'll be reporting directly to the Group Planning and Design Director and working in the group planning and design team of 5, plus external Architects and Consultants and Designers in regional offices. The areas where they operate are the North West, Midlands and South East, as the Planner/Designer you could be working on projects such as listed buildings through to traditional new build developments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Developing planning layouts & ancillary details using both standard and bespoke house types in the preparation for planning applications and eventual production on site
- Reviewing technical information to assist in the production of initial sketch layouts for land appraisals
- The submission of planning applications
- The management of planning applications through to an approval
- Production of new & bespoke house type working drawings and supporting details
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with planning applications
- Knowledge of build regulations
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Adobe suite experience would be beneficial
