Estimator Job in Reigate
Estimator job based in Reigate for a growing residential contractor covering sites across Surrey and down to Crawley, working on residential bespoke new build, refurbishment and extension projects for private client, developers and investors. The role offers a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + Travel / Company Vehicle, our is client looking for a residential housebuilding background either from main contractor or residential developer/housebuilding background.
They are a regional, reputable contractor offering full life cycle design and construction services for their clients. You will be joining a £7.5m turnover business as they continue to take on further projects and you will be responsible for front-end estimation of projects and initial client meetings, representing the company and playing an instrumental part in winning new contracts. The role report to the Operations Manager who currently oversees post contract commercial management duties, you can expect to be working on 15 projects at one time.
Role & Responsibilities
- The role will cover all aspects of the tender process, from initial client engagement through to tender negotiation and contract signature on projects ranging in value from £0.5m - £2.5m
- Lead the tender enquiry process
- Produce cost plans from RIBA stage 0 to stage 3
- Produce detailed cost plans and quantity checks
- Pricing of site preliminaries
- Provide information on key risks and opportunities
- Pricing competitive tenders
- Review contract and other commercial data
- Attending client meetings
- Presenting tender information to project teams
Required Skills & Experience
- Must have residential construction experience from a main contractor, developer or housebuilder background
- Must have strong experience in pre-construction estimating and cost plans
- Ability to present to existing and potential clients
- Ideally Degree level or similar in Quantity Surveying
- UK Driving Licence

- Holiday 25 days per year increasing by 1 day each year up to a maximum of 30 days
