We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure service, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are currently recruiting for a General Foreman to join our Infrastructure - Major Projects team to manage safety onsite and ensure tasks are carried out with the highest level of expertise and skill.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting General Foreman role, you'll oversee the safety management on site including inductions, toolbox talks, daily task briefings and Point of Work Assessments. You'll have a key involvement in enabling work activities and allocate duties to Site Operatives. You'll also organise and requisition site equipment, plant and materials and co-ordinate with line managers on managing work methods. This role will also involve planning the works, maintaining daily records of site activities and implementing work safety plans, method statements, risk assessment and other site procedures.

What do we need from you?

You'll hold a valid SSSTS and CSCS card (Supervisor - Gold) and have previous experience within a Supervisor or Managerial role. You'll be able to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of the day-to-day running of a site and be qualified to NVQ Level 1-2. You'll also hold other site related training (Confined Space, Fire Marshall, First Aid, Temporary Work Supervisor) as equivalent to the role.
