We are now recruiting for a Senior ITS Engineer to join our Highways team to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards delivery of all the specified project outcomes on time, within budget and to the quality required.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior ITS Engineer, you will develop designs in accordance with the client's requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost effective solutions. Preparing and checking feasibility studies, appraisal / assessment reports and other written documents. Development of engineering solutions and presentation of engineering options. Produce and check design concepts, design details, drawings specifications and other technical documents. Assist with fault finding for urban traffic control traffic signal and traffic observation camera systems. Provide advice on design of elements for highway projects. Support with FAT and SAT testing as required. Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health & safety and construction design management procedures.
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have a relevant degree or appropriate qualification
- Are working within a Civil Engineering design environment, preferably on a high speed network.
- Understand the use of traffic signal equipment and software, including MOVA, SCOOT, UTCX, UTMC and VMS systems
- Can use software: LINSIG3, Keysignals TRANSYT, Confirm, CAD, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Demonstrate wide knowledge of relevant highway standards and documents
- Hold a current full driving licence to visit sites
