We are currently looking for a Tunnel Electrician to join our Highways team in Birmingham to provide preventative and reactive maintenance on tunnel electrical systems and pumping stations.
Key Responsibilities
As Tunnel Electrician you take part in routine/cyclic maintenance, carry out periodic testing and new installation testing. Take ownership of fault finding and repair on low voltage electrical systems. Prioritise your workload and be the team lead on site, provide accurate reporting and completion of all associated electrical maintenance documentation in paper & electronic formats. Make necessary repairs to electrical equipment and its supplies, conduct confined space work in pumping stations. Supervision of sub-contractors, carrying out inductions/briefings. When required, you will also be part of an on-call rota.
We are seeking candidates who?
- Hold City and Guilds part 1 & 2 / City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspect / City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Have a full driving licence
- Understand IPAF 1B, 3A & 3B
- Can provide a CSCS/ECS card, NHSS 8
- Fully recognise all aspects of electrical Installation and maintenance
- Are able to work on a call out rota
- Will work weekends/overtime as and when required
- Feel comfortable using Microsoft Office and other general computer applications
