We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional. Our client is a leading commercial catering equipment business with an outstanding reputation and a long list of industry awards. They are one of the UK's leading specialist commercial kitchen contractors and work on some of the country's most outstanding catering projects.

The role:

The role is broad ranging and includes H&S management for three business divisions, commercial catering/kitchen design and installation, specialist fabrication, and repair, service & maintenance of commercial catering equipment.

Reporting to the Director you will provide support and advice to managers and employees on all areas of H&S operations and compliance.

Main responsibilities:

  • Review Method Statements and all other pre-construction information from contractors
  • Production of all necessary H&S documents for projects
  • RAMS and O&Ms
  • Keep current policies and procedures up to date
  • Ensuring health & safety and fire safety compliance
  • Conduct site visits to ensure that health & safety regulations are being met
  • H&S site audit
  • Monitor the approved contractors list
  • Manage the health & safety systems
  • Action any investigations when needed

About you:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This is an autonomous role and you will be providing highly technical H&S support to complex projects so you need to be technically strong. You will also need to be flexible, adaptable, a team player and problem solver.

  • Competency in Microsoft software such as Excel & Word
  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Experience in Health & Safety in a similar business, ideally commercial interiors
  • Ideally have a CDM qualification
  • Able to work independently
  • Flexible, able to travel
  • Full UK driving licence
