Land Director Job in Plymouth
I currently have a Land Director Job available for my client who are one of the UK's largest house builders. This national house builder is looking to speak to Senior Land Managers, Heads of Land or Land Directors in the Cornwall or Devon area. On offer is a salary of £95,000 + car allowance and bonus.
As the successful Land Director you'll be working closely with the Regional Managing Director on land opportunities for Cornwall and East Devon. Managing the land identification, planning, technical and financial appraisal of sites across the region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and grow the land team
- Identify land opportunities in the region
- Manage the process of immediate and strategic land purchase
- Successfully negotiate heads of terms with landowners and agents through to exchange of legal contracts
- Conduct planning and viability appraisals and searches for sites to assess their suitability for acquisition
- Provide accurate and regular reports and attend Director level meetings
- Prepare planning strategies, working with relevant consultants and advisers, that aim to obtain a Local Plan allocation or planning permission in shortest possible timeframe.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience buying land at a volume house builder
- Strong knowledge of the South West region
- Strong negotiation skills
- Commercially aware
- Ability to manage a team
- Ideally a relevant degree.
