Summary
As a result of an internal promotion, Gleeson Homes is looking for a Divisional Finance Business Partner to work closely alongside the Divisional and Regional management team for our Yorkshire & Midlands Division. This senior finance role will be based in Sheffield, although will require travel to our Regional offices and sites based within the Division in order to build and maintain excellent relationships with operational teams. They will formally report into our Homes FD but will require close day to day working with the Divisional Managing Director and other senior Regional management to be successful in the role. The role will also have significant exposure to other key stakeholders including the Homes MD and CFO.
As a member of the senior Finance team, and working alongside two existing Divisional Finance Business Partners, they will be responsible for providing financial leadership, insight and support for operational teams across the Division. They will also work closely with the Central Finance team in ensuring that financial performance is appropriately communicated across the Division and provide analysis and understanding around both financial and non-financial KPIs in order to help the Division achieve its growth targets. The Divisional Finance Business Partner will also have a key role in the budget setting and forecasting process, working with the Central Finance team at site, Regional and Divisional levels.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to present complex financial information to operational teams in a simple, clear and concise manner, both verbally and written. This will also require the ability to extract and manipulate data, both financial and non-financial, from the COINs ERP system.
They will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual, able to lead change and drive targets to support the successful growth of the Division.

Main Responsibilities
- Key member of the senior Finance team, working alongside existing Divisional Finance Business Partners and supporting the Homes FD
- Work closely with the Divisional Managing Director providing and interpreting financial and operational KPI's to help inform operational decision making and driving actions where needed
- Support and challenge wider Divisional and Regional operational teams in assessing new site appraisals, tracking existing site performance and overheads management both in a financial and non-financial context
- Production of comprehensive monthly Divisional reporting pack, including financial reports provided by the Central Finance team, and commentary covering operational and financial performance in conjunction with Divisional Managing Director
- Responsible for leading on the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for the Division, working closely alongside the Central Finance team
- Specific projects and other analysis as required by the Homes FD, CFO and wider business
Ideal Candidate
- A qualified accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 5 years post qualified experience
- Previous experience in a senior finance role, ideally with commercial or business partnering experience
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop strong relationships with key operational stakeholders
- High attention to detail, ensuring integrity in financial reporting and written reports
- A strong IT user able to deal effectively with a high volume of data
- An enthusiastic and ambitious team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead others
