Select Plant Hire provides tower crane, mobile crane, crawler crane and hoist solutions to the Laing O'Rourke Group (Select's Parent Company) & external Clients. We are now looking for a Tower Crane Sales Manager to oversea a project from first enquiry through to the end of hire, keeping regular communication with the client throughout the duration of the project.
What will the role look like?
- Review and negotiate Contracts at initial stage. Communicate findings to Commercial Management for review & input.
- Competently analyse Scopes of Work and discuss and negotiate with the Client.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to suit workload / deadlines.
- Client liaison for allocated enquiries / Clients.
- Build strong client relationships with the intention of growing the customer base.
- Appreciation for Selects working methodology, innovation and continual improvement. Be able to demonstrate and promote this.
- Data collation and chairing Work Winning presentations to Business Leaders.
- Meetings with Clients as part of business development, work winning and Contract negotiations.
- Negotiate costs for variations to Contract post award.
- Use AutoCAD to produce indicative tower crane scheme drawings and erection and dismantle sketches for discussion with the Client.
- Constantly monitor the fleet allocation to enhance availability of schemes produced, focusing on areas where utilization needs to improve.
- Excellent technical knowledge in tower crane and mobile crane planning.
- Problem solve with Clients to propose the most suitable crane scheme and methodologies to suit their works.
Knowledge and Skillset:
- Numerate and accurate
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues, Clients and suppliers.
- Ability to establish a "trusted advisor" relationship with Clients.
- Have good organisational skills and operate with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to reprioritise workload
- Good knowledge of IT including Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Salesforce
- Good knowledge of Plant \ Crane(s) sector
- CPCS Appointed Person (strongly desirable)
- CAD Experience (strongly desirable)
- Good understanding of CPA terms and condition
- Problem solving in relation to crane schemes
