Job Title: Assistant Estimator
Location: Witham, Essex. This is an agile role within our Eastern & Midlands region, where we have offices based in Rushden, Waterbeach, Witham and Solihull. Home working is also available with some travel to other offices and sites

Contract: Permanent, full time.

Kier Construction are looking for an Assistant Estimator to support on specific projects based out of our Witham office where you will manage tenders from inception to submission & post tender negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Estimator you will typically be working on tenders valued between £5m and £50m. A key part of this progressive role will be to work closely with the commercial team on early orders of subcontract packages, as well as implementing and controlling change management. Not only will you have a large variety of project values to get involved with, but we also operate on a variety of procurement routes, with the opportunity to work across a number of sectors including; Education, Health, High Rise Residential, Student Accommodation, and Commercial.
What do we need from you?
The ideal candidate for this role will be interested in becoming a key member of the work winning and pre contract project conversion team. Experience in cost planning, control and risk mitigation would be advantageous and ideally you will have competency in using blue beam and conquest.
