Job Title: Training Manager

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk

Business area: Kier Utilities - Training Hub

Contract / Hours: Full Time - Permanent

We are now recruiting for a Training Manager to join our team in Wymondham to carry out a Lead IQA role ensuring high standards of training are designed, delivered, and evaluated.

Also responsible for the day to day running of a training hub, (including facilities, plant/equipment), including duty of care to delegates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and deliver impactful learning interventions and training by engaging with Subject Matter experts to ensure the training is fit for purpose and adheres to compliance/health & safety standards.
  • Working with Operational L&D team to maximise trainer utilisation to meet business requirements. You will also need to provide and manage the planning of internal training.
  • Engage proactively with operational leads and HR to seek opportunities for work experience candidates. You will then develop training plans for those candidates to manage the transition from training hub to site experience.
What do we need from you?

  • Experience working within Utilities/ Water industry along with being an EUSR accredited trainer for SHEA Water/ SHEA & Accredited TAQA Assessor. Must also be Accredited IQA & Accredited Streetworks.
  • Demonstratable knowledge & experience of delivering all stages of the learning cycle (identification, design, delivery, and evaluation). Must also be able to demonstrate knowledge of SHE and compliance training requirements as relevant to business units supported.
  • Self-motivated with a 'Can Do' attitude with the ability to work under pressure and to a strict deadline and be able to motivate others to do the same.
  • Knowledge and experience of learning support functions would also be advantageous
