Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical bias)
Location: QE2 Conference Centre, Westminster, London
Business Area: Facilities Management - Public Sector Government contract
Contract: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hours: Weekly alternating early & late shifts between 6am and 10pm
Overtime: Mini shifts, late hours, out of hours, and weekends possible
Kier Places are recruiting today for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client. You will be providing planned & reactive maintenance with a Mechanical bias in Government buildings in our prestigious Westminster portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
As a focused and reactive Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will deliver a combination of electrical, mechanical, water and building fabric planned preventative (PPM), reactive maintenance, and extra works engineering services within government facilities. You will be assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient, and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations. This will involve completing works of mechanical nature, such as HVAC, AHU's & compressors, as well as fabric & other general maintenance nature, including minor electric, plumbing & heating repairs.
What do we need from you?
The successful Multi-Skilled Engineer candidate should be a qualified & competent Multi-Skilled Engineer with a mechanical bias, with the ability to conduct a variety of building & facilities maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: electrics & lighting, water & plumbing, HVAC, AHUs & compressors.
It would be a bonus if you have electrical or heating/plumbing qualifications, are L8 Legionella awareness qualified, are Water Regulations competent, have PASMA/IPAF certification, and have a valid Government Security Check (SC) Clearance.
