Quarry Process Operator

Hope Cement Works, Derbyshire

Full-time, permanent position

An exciting opportunity for a flexible, self-motivated and positive individual to work as a member of the Quarry Production team at Hope Cement Works. Shift working will be a requirement of the job role, including some weekend work.

Duties will include:

  • Operating to high health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Loading at the face with either a wheeled loader or 360 excavator.
  • Hauling materials from the quarry face to the crusher.
  • Operation of the processing systems.
  • First line maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Health and Safety is the number one priority in all aspects of our quarrying operations and the successful candidate will be required to contribute and assist with the continuous improvement of safety standards.

Education level preferred:

  • GCSE grade C or above, Maths and English

Job related work experience:

  • Operation of wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry applications, ADT & rigid truck operation or processing plant experience

Other requirements:

  • NVQ level 2 or MPQC qualified in truck, excavator and loader operations
  • Excellent safety awareness
  • Operational experience in quarrying
