The Supply Chain Sustainability Advisor will help to facilitate the step change approach to realising our LOR sustainability strategy. The Supply Chain Sustainability Advisor will embed and monitor ambitions to achieve supply chain sustainability optimisation through innovation and collaboration. The role is flexible in terms of work location, however there is an emphasis on attending 'the relevant office/work location' for collaboration with other team members.
This role is critical in supporting the supply chain sustainability lead to ensure implementation of the supply chain sustainability strategy to drive the level and pace of change required for a demonstratable movement in the delivery of positive sustainable outcomes.
Key Deliverables and Accountabilities
- Supporting supply chain engagement on sustainability issues (suppliers, contractor, intermediaries - all tiers) to build and shape relationships.
- Assisting stakeholder engagement (internal) decision makers, budget holders, key functions
- Aiding drive towards ISO 20400 sustainable procurement
- Supply chain sustainability KPI data reporting, measurement, and monitoring
- Supporting supply chain on capturing scope 3 emissions data.
- Engaging with and supporting procurement and wider teams on sustainable decision making.
- Maximising benefits through our supply chain sustainability school partnership.
- Implementation of the supply chain sustainability roadmap to drive down Scope 3 Cat 1 reductions.
- Providing support for scope 3 SBTi development.
- Promoting sustainability innovation and collaboration opportunities through internal and external communications and events to test and grow ideas.
- Assist with the LOR knowledge network working groups and supply chain engagement to develop sustainability front end offerings to our clients.
Technical Capabilities
- Knowledge of sustainability and ethical issues relating to the supply chain.
- Excellent computer literacy to produce, manage, share, and review information collaboratively (Teams, Sharepoint, Office365, Onedrive) to produce high quality documents.
- Clear and robust data management, tracking, analysis, and reporting capabilities
- Detailed understanding of responsible and ethical sourcing standards, environmental management and social value and sustainability assessment schemes (BES 6001, PPN06/20, PPN06/21, ISO 14001)
- Understanding of Environmental Assessment tools including for example BREEAM, LEED and CEEQUAL
- Be technically familiar with an extensive range of construction products, advising on the suitability for application on site
- Relevant Degree [i.e., BSc] or equivalent experience
- Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards it)
