The University of Hull is working in partnership with Protocol to recruit for a number of lecturing positions within the Law School.
Founded in 1927, the University of Hull has gone from strength to strength. Situated in the 2017 City of Culture, this fantastic red-brick university has lots to offer! Hull has benefited from fantastic investment over the past 5 years, helping to boost its economic impact and bring new growth to both the city and the university. The University itself has great pride and status within its research explorations, particularly within the field of social justice.
The Law School has recently seen some big changes, and they are now seeking to appoint new staff members, to support them through their careers and to bolster the research and teaching output of the University's Law School.
There are seven positions available in total, in teaching & research and teaching & scholarship. The roles are split across the following subjects:
*Lecturer in International Law
*Lecturer in Private Law with Employment Law
*Lecturer in Criminal Law
We would be keen to hear from applicants who:
*Are PhD qualified or nearing completion of your PhD.
*Have lecturing experience (if under 2 years than happy to complete PCAP within 2 years).
*Ideally have legal experience and are fully qualified to practice within the UK, in addition to ideally having research experience.
*Are comfortable lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
*Have relevant subject experience relating to one of the above positions.
Whether you are already local or looking to relocate, Hull has a fantastic amount to offer in terms of living. It's a fascinating place to explore with many interesting trails, museums and more. It's a lovely place for some retail therapy or a jaunt to a traditional English Pub. The average cost of living is 70% lower in Hull than London, and 30% lower than Manchester and the city is well served by rail and road.
