Breedon are currently seeking a Shipper to join the team based in Astley Moss, Lancashire.

Working within a team in a fast-paced environment you will be responsible for dealing with distribution of ready mix concrete. No knowledge of concrete is required as training will be provided.

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Telephone and email contact to and from customers.
  • An adept and timely response to customers' enquiries and complaints in an efficient manner.
  • Proactive planning and tracking orders to completion.
  • Scheduling and rescheduling orders whilst utilising haulage fleet effectively.
  • Compiling and maintaining accurate records as required.
  • Communicating effectively with commercial, production and haulage partners.
  • Proactively managing old age debt recovery.
  • An ability and desire to adapt cross functionally as and when required.
  • Identifying and contributing to managing your own personal development.
  • Full compliance with Competition Act 1998.

    • Good verbal skills are essential along with a familiarity of the local geography.
