We are now recruiting for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our Highways team in Doxey, Staffordshire. The purpose of the role is to support the Environment and Sustainability Manager on HS2 EWC02 contract to ensure that all environmental requirements and best practice is embedded throughout the design and delivery of works in line with policies and contract requirements. The HS2 EWC02 contract delivers highways improvements and survey works to facilitate the construction of HS2 Phase 2a. Travel is a requirement of this job to establish relationships and undertake site inspections. Previous experience of working to HS2 environmental requirements is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Environmental Advisor you will provide advice and solutions to the design and construction teams on reducing environmental impacts, meeting all environmental requirements. Produce environmental plans and documents; review documents produced by other to provide assurance against environmental requirements. Undertake environmental site inspections to ensure environmental compliance; make sure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Report environmental incidents and carry out investigations. Develop environmental guidance and training. Identify and promote environmental opportunities and best practice

- Good communication skills and the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively prioritise a diverse workload
- Excellent team player, adaptable to work across various environmental disciplines
