Assistant Production Manager (South East)

Breedon Ready-mix concrete operations team covering the Thames Valley and Home Counties, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

Breedon are currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager in our ready-mix concrete operations team, covering sites across our South East England area, including Thames Valley and Home Counties, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

As an Assistant Production Manager you will primarily support our two Production Managers; you'll be collaborative, focused on building strong interdepartmental relationships. You will have an excellent knowledge of health and safety as you'll support in all aspects of manufacturing and production of readymix concrete; you will also be responsible for all aspects of quality, material management and support of dispatch, so industry experience is essential.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Raising of order numbers
  • Maintaining plant documentation in accordance with standards and permit conditions
  • Delivering toolbox talks
  • Attending audits by external acquisition bodies
  • Occasional operation of a 4 wheeled loading shovel
  • Training and mentoring of new team members
