Job Title: Mechanical Fitter- Water Industry

Location: Sites across Devon & Cornwall

Business Area: Kier Utilities- South West Water

Contract: Permanent- Full Time

Kier and it's alliance with South West Water are passionate about water. We help to provide clean and wastewater services to c. 1.7 million people in Cornwall, Devon, parts of Somerset, Bournemouth & Dorset. We are looking for Mechanical Fitters to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational teams' installations and refurbishments in a wide range of plant from inlet screen to pumping station pipe work in a drinking water and sewage treatment scenario
  • Interpret from technical drawings
  • Be involved in fault finding within a live water treatment facility
This role may also be required to participate in the emergency standby rota, for which you will be fully compensated.

What do we need from you?

  • Hold an industry applicable apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of Mechanical installations systems within the water industry
