Bid Administrator

Location: Thorncliffe Hall office, Sheffield - office based minimum 2-3 days per week

Business Area: Kier Places - Bids Team

Contract & hours: Permanent, full time - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Kier Places are recruiting now for a Bid Administrator to join our Kier Places Bids team in Sheffield, to support the Bid Coordinator & the wider Bid Team with information searches and general administration, where the main aim of this exciting, new role is to provide an efficient and high-quality support service to the bid teams working on multiple projects.

As you will be aligned to Kier Places, which includes our Facilities Management & Housing Maintenance business streams, you will cover contracts and projects relating to social housing repairs and planned maintenance; recladding for housing association residential blocks; PFI Schools, Police & Fire Rescue Authorities; and Government, Ministry of Justice & Home Office Hard Services delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As a trusted Bid Administrator with Kier Places, the day-to-day focus will be on administration and coordination of information needed to keep members of the team informed through clarification, formatting, and supporting bid submissions.

You can expect your role to include arranging, organising, and coordination of team meetings, events, travel, accommodation, etc.; coordinating internal and external marketing, communication & correspondence; and be responsible for maintaining effective work systems, folders & records of all relevant information, evidence, tender queries, and client responses.

Working collaboratively with a variety of internal & external stakeholders, you'll support bid coordinator with population of knowledge / evidence database, as well as support the business development function with research projects; develop and own processes & reports required to support the Bid team; and support the Bid Team with general team administration & coordination, project-based, and ad-hoc administration.

You'll also be trusted to work with colleagues to understand stakeholders in an effort to meet their expectations, and ensure internal & external customer satisfaction; embody Kier Group's values towards its customers, and to promote its vision; and ensure compliance with Kier Group's Corporate Responsibility policies, procedures and standards.

You should also have the ability to work with & learn a range of IT programs including the full Microsoft suite, design, publishing and/or graphics software such as Adobe InDesign, and CRM-related databases; you should have an efficient and professional approach with the ability to multi-task; and have the ability to work as an individual just as well as within of a team.
