Business Unit: Kier Utilities - South West Water
Hours: Permanent - Weekly Paid
Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a Water Technician who will be depot based, supervising and participating in a 2 man gang. Ensuring safety of site, self and colleagues, quality of work and production. With a focus on reactive and maintenance work on the Western Power Distribution network.
What you'll be doing:
- Communicating with the Supervisor and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems.
- To ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and that recycling takes place whenever possible.
- To ensure proper use of plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum. To carry out and complete excavation and cable laying work on the WPD network as directed.
- NRSWA Operative and Cat & Genny Trained is essential
- UK driving licence
- Cable laying experience, Sub Station experience and 360 mini excavator/dumper desirable
