Building Surveyor Job in Leicester / Remote Working
Building Surveyor job for the asset management team of one of the largest UK property groups, working across their portfolio of affordable housing across the UK. The role offers a salary of up to £50,000 + Mileage + 27 days holiday + 6% contributory pension + Remote Working.
Our client is one of the UK's largest residential development, regeneration, and property management businesses, they have around 12,000 employees, an annual turnover in excess of £800 million and over £4 billion in assets. Established for over 50 years, they provide not just buildings but sustainable communities across the private sector, assisted living, retirement and leisure sectors. As the Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for managing a team of Specialist Surveyors, ideally you will be MRICS or equivalent accreditation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Leading a team of Building Surveyors within the Asset Management team and covering sites across the UK
- Undertake investigative building surveys to identify the cause of building defects and determine the required remediation work
- Advise on technical queries and supporting delivery of associated programmes for asbestos monitoring, energy assessments, radon, insurance related surveys and delivery of disrepair surveys.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ideally 5+ years' Experience as a Building Surveyor
- Experienced in surveying affordable housing stock
- Knowledge of housing-related building surveying requirements
- Experienced in planned, cyclical and responsive maintenance programmes
- Strong customer engagement skills
- Ability to analyse and present reports
- Ability to lead/supervise a team
- Full UK Driving Licence.
