Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected. In this role, you will be working on our South West Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.
In the role of Water Technician, you will work closely in a team and other colleagues to work on schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large and complex mains repairs.
Location: Redruth, Cornwall
Contract: Permanent - Full time
Responsibilities
The role of Water Technician will be depot based, supervising and participating in a 2 man gang. Ensuring safety of site, self and colleagues, quality of work and production.
- General site supervision, including completion of all records as required
- All Health and Safety issues on site, completion of records
- Communicating with the Supervisor and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems
- To ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and that recycling takes place whenever possible
- To ensure proper use of plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum
- You do need to have previous Utilities experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- NRSWA Operative
- Cat & Genny Trained
- UK driving licence
