Contract: Full time
Responsibilities
As Asset Needs Manager you'll be working within the Asset team, supporting them in, managing the asset inventory and understanding the needs and priorities from an asset management perspective
Your day to day will include:
- Working with the authorities to annually review the asset management plan along with other policies and strategies
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of asset management professionals including highways and rights of way safety inspectors
- Assisting in the defence of insurance claims including attendance at court as necessary to give evidence on highway inspection policy and procedures
This role of Asset Needs Manager is great for you if you can:
- Provide a qualification Civil Engineering or other appropriate subject
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of budget and scheme prioritisation using a risk-based approach and the ability to present this as part of an annual plan
- Show an understanding of local authority asset management strategies, principles, plans and systems and communicate these to stakeholders
