We have an opportunity for you to join our team in York as a Construction Planner. In this role you will provide professional construction programming support to the business to win and deliver building solutions within our Project Delivery team. Role Details
  • Salary: £60,000
  • Role based: York
  • Contract type: Permanent

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop a fully integrated, linked programme to support work winning activities and live projects.
  • Attend tender interviews where required to discuss and demonstrate proposed build programmes.
  • Assist the Buying Team to develop sub-contract enquiry documentation and procurement programmes.
  • Carry out site visits to monitor and report progress of construction programmes when required.
  • Interrogate progress information supplied to ensure that progress is reported accurately and with reference to the contract.
  • Analyse critical paths and key milestones and advise Project Managers of any risks, opportunities and any mitigation strategies to maintain the project completion date.
  • Collate and maintain accurate progress outputs and feed information back to the business for future work prospects.
  • Liaison with manufacturing to ensure productions slots are agreed and fit-out works are scheduled in accordance with the agreed programme.
  • Update the resource programme for allocation of Contract, Project & Site Managers to relevant projects.
  • Produce progress reports to the management team to highlight actual progress made and risk identification. Compilation of mitigation plans where necessary.

  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience in construction programming
  • Experience of working with the demands of a fast paced environment and able to prioritise tasks independently.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts (JCT, NEC 3) & P21+
  • Competent in the use of programming software
