Responsibilities
As an Electrician, you'll be working within the Highways Team, supporting them to provide preventative and reactive maintenance on tunnel electrical systems and pumping stations.
Your day to day will include:
- Take part in routine/cyclic maintenance, carry out periodic testing and new installation testing and take ownership of fault finding and repair on low voltage electrical systems.
- Prioritise your workload and be the team lead on site, providing accurate reporting and completion of all associated electrical maintenance documentation in paper & electronic formats. As well as making necessary repairs to electrical equipment and its supplies and conducting confined space work in pumping stations.
- Supervision of sub-contractors, carrying out inductions/briefings. When required, you will also be part of an on-call rota.
This role of an Electrician is great for you if you have:
- Hold City and Guilds part 1 & 2 / City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspect / City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Understand IPAF 1B, 3A & 3B and can provide a CSCS/ECS card, NHSS 8
- Have a full driving licence
